For Those Who Work With Families

Empowering parents. Strengthening communities. Changing futures.

Across the UK, schools, Family Hubs, and community organisations are seeing the same pattern — families facing deep-rooted challenges that traditional parenting programmes don’t always reach. That’s where Root & Rise comes in.

About Root & Rise

Root & Rise is an evidence-based, trauma-informed, six-week reparenting programme designed by the community, for the community. It was co-created with parents who have lived experience of trauma, poverty, and family breakdown — people who understand what support really needs to look and feel like.

The course helps parents

Understand how trauma and early experiences shape family life.

Build confidence and practical life skills.

Learn simple, science-backed ways to support children’s emotional development.

Strengthen bonds through play and shared learning.

Connect with others for long-term support and hope.

Every participating parent receives a £100 Playkit — a curated box of high-quality games and activities that turn learning into real-life connection at home.

Why It Works

Root & Rise bridges the gap between professional intervention and community-based support.

It’s

Evidence-based – grounded in psychological and social research.

Community-built – designed and refined with input from local parents and professionals.

Accessible – no literacy required; materials are visual, practical, and inclusive.

Free for parents – funded by partner organisations such as schools, family hubs, and local authorities.
